The Embassy of the United States in Algeria is pleased to announce a call for proposals for the 2017 Alumni Project Competition.

 This small grant competition welcomes alumni of MEPI and US-funded exchange programs to apply for up to $5,000 to support their efforts to strengthen civil society by sharing information, expertise and values, mobilizing resources, and enriching relationships between Algeria and United States. We seek proposals that advance one
 or more of the following: youth leadership, environmental awareness, women's empowerment, entrepreneurship, and engagement of underserved populations. Proposals to support commercial ventures will not be considered.

 The deadline to apply is Thursday, May 25. Please complete the attached Application and Budget forms and send them to: USEmbassyAlgiersAlumni@state.gov

 To help you develop your proposals, Public Affairs Officer Ana Escrogima will be offering a Grant Proposal Writing Workshop next Wednesday, May 3 at 4pm at the Embassy.
